Good Behavior

Interview with Mickey, Nate, Anne and Erik

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Mickey: Yes.
Nate: No.
Anne: No, I was finally given a chance to have another judge review my case. Apparently my judge had gone on a week long-incarceration orgie. He threw the book at every person who offended his senses, and some without any reason at all.
Erik: I received 2 days for a two week stay. something like that

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Mickey: I think 5 days per month.
Nate: I don't know.
Anne: TWO MONTHS OUT OF SIX MONTHS.
Erik: Depends on how you earn it. Kitchen duty and trustees can earn faster then normal inmates

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Mickey: No write-ups, pretty much just not getting in any trouble ie; stealing, fighting, being disorderly, etc...
Nate: Disobeying the officers avoid confrontations with other inmates.
Anne: Library Duty Kitchen Trustee
Erik: Following the rules is always good. I saw a few write ups for "disrespect" but not sure if they caused time to be lost. I was put in lockdown for rule violations like sharing commissary but never lost good time
